Customer Advisory: Home-Prepared Food
Customer Advisory
What you should know before ordering home-prepared food on Munchor Market.
🍳 Who makes your food
Every vendor in our Food Hall is an independent food creator. Each vendor's storefront shows their info, policies, and menu, and your order checks out directly with that vendor — their name is on your order. Munchor Market provides the marketplace, not the meal.
🏠 Home kitchens & cottage food laws
Many vendors legally prepare food in home kitchens under their state's cottage food or home-kitchen laws. Depending on the state, these kitchens may not be licensed or routinely inspected by a government food safety agency. Requirements vary by state and city — if this matters to you, ask the vendor about their permits and preparation before ordering.
⚠️ Allergen advisory
Vendors are required to disclose major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, sesame) in their listings, but home and small kitchens often handle many ingredients in shared space. Cross-contact is possible with any item. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, read the listing carefully and message the vendor before ordering. When in doubt, don't risk it.
🩺 Consumer health advisory

📣 Problems with an order?
Contact the vendor first — their refund and remake policy is posted on their storefront, and most issues are resolved fastest there. If you can't reach a resolution, or you need to report a food safety concern, email us at munchormarket@gmail.com with your order number. We take safety reports seriously and can pause or remove vendors when warranted.
